In our masterclass we will focus on British English pronunciation (Modern RP), and we will open our ‘tool box’ and have a closer look at
- how the mouth works
- all 44 sounds in British English
- stress, intonation and rhythm
- connected speech.
In specifically designed exercises you will learn how to produce every single English sound clearly and accurately as well as understand the phonetic alphabet (IPA) and how it relates to pronunciation. In addition, we will have a look at one of the most important features of British English, CONNECTED SPEECH, and we will practise speaking with texts and videos. By the end of the course, you will have learned how to sound more authentically English, and you will feel more confident about speaking the language.
Students attending the course should have at least a B1 level of English.
