Do you enjoy reading novels in English? Would you like to join a group of book worms that meet on a regular basis to share and discuss what they have read at home? If your answer to both questions is YES, you’ve come to the right place!
Reading improves our language awareness, expands our vocabulary and deepens our understanding of different cultural backgrounds, values and attitudes.
In our British Book Club we will look at various British novels of different genres and literary periods. You’ll be given sufficient time to read the novels at home, and we will discuss features such as setting, characters, language, plot and themes in our club sessions, and share our personal opinions and thoughts.
For our three club sessions please read the following novels:
21st October 2025 – “Excellent Women” by Barbara Pym
6th December 2025 – “Pride and Prejudice” by Jane Austen
3rd February 2026 – “Frank and Red” by Matt Coyne
