Beautiful British English (B1+) – How to Improve Your Pronunciation Skills

In today’s globalised world we have to be able to speak English properly in business as well as private contexts. This means that we need to articulate clearly and be understandable to both native and non-native speakers around the globe.
In this course we will focus on British English pronunciation (Modern RP) and will have a closer look at
- how the mouth works
- all 44 sounds in British English
- stress, intonation and rhythm
- connected speech.
In specifically designed exercises we will learn how to produce every single English sound clearly and accurately as well as understand the phonetic alphabet (IPA) and how it relates to pronunciation. In addition, we will have a look at one of the most important features of British English, CONNECTED SPEECH, and we will practise speaking with texts and videos. By the end of the course, you will have learned how to sound more authentically English, and you will feel more confident about speaking the language.
Students attending the course should have at least a B1 level of English.
